New California Law Bans All Semi-Auto Rifles with Detachable Mags and Requires Registration

The California legislature just passed a bill that would be one of the strictest, most anti-gun laws ever to be signed into law.  That is, if the Governor does sign it.
Even after Colorado stood up to lawmakers who ignored their constituents and voted out 2 anti-gun senators, California is now trying to cram more senseless gun control down the throats of its residents.
The new gun law would ban all semi-auto rifles with detachable magazines, completely ban all magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds, ban magazine repair kits, and require extensive registration and documentation on ALL guns.  While no new sales of semi-automatic rifles that have detachable magazines will be legal, California residents with these guns will have to get them registered with the state.
Every resident of California should be outraged by the audacity of the state legislature to pass this law.  Both gun owners and non-gunowners alike should see this as an all out attack on the 2nd amendment.

The law still has to be signed by Governor Jerry Brown before it goes into effect, and it will have to survive the Supreme Court.
Gun owners in California still have hope that the Governor will veto the bill, but if he does not it very well could be that California will be the next state to have its own recall election.  It’s about time anyway.
