Today, sadly my last day at Shot, was my day to focus on all things rifle. There is no shortage of rifle manufacturers at this event by any means. I took up 3 gun last year but lately I have been very curious to take up tactical rifle and sniper matches. I took a tour this afternoon of Sig Sauer’s booth and had the honor of modeling (okay, holding) their .308 bolt action precision rifle. What makes new and exciting this time is that Sig is now making their own stocks in house. What that does for you and I is see a price tag about $1000 cheaper. Seriously! But my favorite is the Sig MPX C 16″. A sub-machine gun that is technically street legal since the muzzle break is built in all the way down. Then to add extra coolness is the Can you just slide right over the muzzle break. Twist a cap at the end and voila. Instant cool factor, “must have this gun factor”.

Now for the rifle I would most love to get my hands on is from the booth that I walked by almost 10 ten times a day. Accuracy International. All I can say is wow. They are a very established company but I still drool every time I walk by. My dream would be for them to sponsor me to shoot one of their lovely rifle in tactical matches. Hint hint Mr. AI.
