MADBULL AIRSOFT TO PRODUCE M107A1 [VIDEO]

One of the world leaders in large-caliber rifle design and manufacturing, Barrett's products are used by civilian sport shooters, law enforcement agencies, the United States military and more than 50 American allied countries across the world. Recognized by most for their model M82A1, the company has grown considerably since their humble beginnings in 1982 when founder Ronnie Barrett had invented the first shoulder-fired .50 caliber rifle.

To celebrate their 30th year, Barrett has crafted a one-of-a-kind rifle patterned after their new M107A1 .50 caliber. The rifle glows deep silver from its completely nickel teflon coating[1]. Displayed at SHOT Show 2012, the rifle was later auctioned for charity.
Though Madbull had not specified if their airsoft M107A1 would be an exact copy of the 30th Anniversary rifle, they did reveal that their gas-powered collector's item would become available in Mid 2012 for over 1000 USD[2]. Though related to the Model M82A1/ M107, the real M107A1 was engineered to be lighter yet stronger; thanks to an aluminum upper receiver and numbered witness holes on the magazine, the rifle weighs four pounds less than the 30 pound M107. Other notable improvements include a thermal-guard cheek piece, rail-mounted aluminum rear grip, and a four-port muzzle brake that allows for the quick attachment of Barrett's .50 BMG Suppressor[3]. Aside from these features, replicated in airsoft form, buyers can expect their replica to have official trademarks due to the fact that Madbull Airsoft does have licensing rights from Barrett.
