Pregnant Woman Used to be Against Guns Until She Had to Use Her Husband’s Gun to Scare off 2 Intruders

When a gun is the difference between your family being safe and your family becoming victims, it can easily give you a new perspective on gun ownership.
A few days ago a pregnant woman in Palmview Texas was against her husband having a gun in the house.  But then something happened that changed all that.   The woman was at home alone when she heard a loud bang at the front door.  When she didn’t recognize who it was she ignored it, but then heard another man trying to break into the back door of the house.
She was in fear for her life when she grabbed her husband’s .40 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun.  When the 2 suspects saw the woman was armed they fled the scene and ran back to their truck.   To make sure they were really leaving for good the woman opened fire on the truck with a few shots.  She later said that she fired at the truck to leave an identifying mark on the vehicle so the police could catch them.
The 2 suspects were later captured by SWAT after they barricaded themselves in another home in a long standoff with authorities.

The woman told Action 4 News that she was originally against guns in the home, but this incident changed her mind,
“I was against him buying a gun maybe 7-8 months ago, but I told him, ‘I don’t know if I told you, thank you for doing that’ because it changed the situation completely,” said Alex.
The pregnant woman is now thankful that her husband taught her how to shoot.  And without a gun in the home it would have ended much differently.  Now if we can only get lawmakers to understand this principle.
