Early Voting Begins in Colorado Recalls Over Gun Control Backlash

When the Democrat controlled senate pushed gun control through Colorado earlier this year they probably had no idea that they would be making history.  Or rather, that a couple of them would be going through a historic recall election as backlash for ignoring the gun owners in their state.
The recall election for Sen. Angela Giron, D-Pueblo, and Senate President John Morse, D-Colorado Springs is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10th.  Polls will open at 7am and close at 7pm.
But early voting has already begun, and according to The Denver Post, 3,500 people have already voted in Pueblo County in the Giron recall.   If Giron is ousted by the recall she will be replaced by Republican George Rivera.
If Senate President John Morse is recalled he will be succeeded by Republican Bernie Herpin.

These recall elections mark the first time in Colorado’s history that a lawmaker has faced a recall.  Anti-gun lawmakers in the state have underestimated the passion and turnout of gun owners in the state, but these elections have garnered the attention of gun control lobbyists nationwide.  NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg has poured a small fortune into the state to fight these recall efforts, so it shows the anti-gunners are a bit nervous about the outcome.

Only voters in the two senator’s districts are allowed to vote, but El Paso County Clerk and Recorder Wayne Williams has predicted that voters outside the districts will be try to get involved in the voting process as well.  But some of this is simply because of confusion.  For instance in El Paso alone there are 5 senators represented and not everyone knows who their senator is.

We encourage every Colorado resident in these two counties to find out who their senators are so they can get involved in recalling these 2 senators who voted against 2nd amendment rights.  If these 2 senators are recalled it would send a loud message to other anti-gun lawmakers nationwide that gun owners are willing to vote out anyone who takes away our rights.
